Dreaming awake

I asked for something more.
I knew it was here,
I'd been here before,
somewhere near the rabbit hole.
Spiralling downward,
through time and the layers of memory I fell.
Here again in this place
lit by moonflowers and lightning bugs.

The scales have fallen
there's no turning back.
Only forward,
following the unicorns tracks.
The clock strikes it toll.
Each cycle of blood
Upon the barrow's, knoll.

The moon's mirror is dark
time's made its mark.
If I had only but knew
I'd bittten more than I could chew.
Tethered now upon God's yoke
I pray for fate, don't let me choke.
